Australian Institute of Family Studies Resource – Library on parents with disabilities provides links to relevant documents on this topic.

Australian College of Midwives – A professional organisation for Midwives. It does have a section for searching services by type (midwife/doula, etc..) or location.

Birth International – Birth International is an Australian organisation which provides training and education to maternity care providers with a focus on safe midwifery care. 

Deaf Connect – A not for profit organisation working with the community to enhance services and programs that benefit Deaf and hard of hearing adults and children across Australia.

Disability Advocacy Network Australia – DANA is the national representative body for a network of advocacy organisations throughout Australia.

Intellectual Disability Rights Service – Provides legal support and advocacy for people with intellectual disability.

Maternity Choices – Have a range of consumer information available to assist pregnant women and their families/carers.

National Disability Insurance Scheme – Information on this scheme and funding for support if your client has a disability.

National Disability Services – National Disability Services (NDS) is Australia’s peak body for non-government disability service organisations, representing over 1200 non-government service providers. Collectively, NDS members operate several thousand services for Australians with all types of disability.

People with Disabilities Australia – PWDA is national disability rights, advocacy and representative organisation that is made up of, led and governed by people with disability.

Pregnancy, Birth & Beyond – An Australian organisation that provides resources on pregnancy, childbirth and parenting. 

Pregnancy Birth & Baby website – A national government funded site with information related to pregnancy, birth or parenting.

Raising Children Network Pregnancy – Provides general pregnancy information.

Sexual Health and Family Planning Australia – an initiative that combines work from various State family planning organisations

The Australian Disability Gateway – Information and services to help people with a disability, family and carers find support.

Women with Disabilities Australia – A national organisation to support women with disabilities. Although not specific for maternity services, there is a section on motherhood and parenting.

True Relationships & Reproductive Health – Provide and promote information and education around respectful relationships.
 

New South Wales Resource Organisations

Family Planning NSW – Provides factsheets and training in the area of sexuality and disability and Resources available from FPA NSW to assist providers who work with people with a disability.
 
New South Wales Council for Intellectual Disability – This site provides information about and for people with intellectual disability.
 
New South Wales Agency for Clinical Innovation – Information on how to help improve health services to people with intellectual disability in NSW.
 
NSW Civil & Administrative Tribunal (NCAT) – NCAT provides specialist tribunal services to help you resolve an issue or dispute fairly and according to the law.
 
Resourcing Parents – Provides a range of resources to support parenting.

Disability Advocacy Resource Unit – Information on works with disability organisations to promote and protect the rights of people with disabilities.

Family Planning VIC – Information on reproductive and sexual health care, education and advocacy.

Parenting Research Centre – The ‘Healthy Start’ section has specific pregnancy and parenting resources for parents with intellectual disability.

Royal Women’s Hospital  –  Provides a specific clinic for women with disability in pregnancy.

Sexual Health and Family Planning ACT – Is a leader in sexual and reproductive health workforce development, health promotion and clinical service delivery to reduce barriers to improved sexual and reproductive health.

Western Australia Resource Organisations

SECCA (Sexuality Education Counselling and Consultancy Agency) – Based in Western Australia, they provide several services including the provision of accessible resources for people with disabilities around relationships, sexual health, and safety. 

International Resource Organisations

Change – A UK based website that provided information and services for people with intellectual disability. A picture gallery for developing written materials and specific resources for pregnancy and parenting are available.
